A pen and ink illustration. A fountain pen nib makes the body of a rocketship. It has sharp wings on either side and a big rocket booster at the bottom. Multi-colored ink clouds billow from the booster and blue and red ink drip from the rocket. After recording my offer from my agent in QueryTracker, a site I highly recommend if you’re in the query trenches, they asked me to share my success story. You can find the interview here. We talk about my book and writing style, my query journey, and querying advice. You can also read my successful query letter at the end!

QueryTracker is a great tool for querying authors. It keeps you organized and on top of who’s open to queries as well as lets you search for agents that want what you’re writing. It’s manned by a handful of people, many volunteers. It’s also free! But, if you have a spare $25, it’s worth it for the year subscription. It gives you a full more tools to use and helps support a site that otherwise has no income.
